The closing ceremony of Kantha Stitch Training 2022 was conducted at Farakka on 27.03.2023. The program was graced by Smt. Maya Singh, President (Udita Ladies Club) and other senior members of ULC, who handed over the course completion certificate to 53 beneficiaries.

The training program under NTPC Farakka CSR initiative in association with Udita Ladies Club, was conducted for 45 days. The objective of this training was to motivate unemployed women to engage themselves into the garment industry primarily focusing on manufacturing Kantha stitch (hand-embroidered products). This skill set has the potential to replace the huge and organized engagement of women in and around Farakka in the bidi manufacturing industry, if proper market is tapped, both locally and internationally.
